Welcome to my
Gaelic-English/English-Gaelic Dictionary Site
For those who have noticed download problems on
this site thanks for the update. Everything should be working fine now! A
new version is coming in the next month or so. Some new functions, words
and support for Windows 2000 ;)
I am a recent student of Scottish Gaelic and a bit of a computer
programmer. I was looking for a digital resource for the Scottish
language, and although I found a number of web based dictionaries (see below),
I found no copies available for use locally.
I wrote this mostly for myself, but I realized if I neatened it up a
bit someone else might use it, so here it is. Please report any bugs you
find or improvements you can think of to: mailto:barretttucker@yahooo.com
(please put "dictionary" somewhere in the subject
line).

Here's a screenshot of what it looks
like
I've recently gotten some complaints about
downloads taking a long time or frequently timing-out on the full install
version. So here's the dictionary in floppy disk sized chunks. To install
make sure that all the extracted folders are in the same directory
(default is C:\Temp), and run Setup.exe from the Disk1
directory.
